Hospital upgrade on time and on budget, says project director

Ballarat’s biggest ever infrastructure build is on time and on budget, according to the project’s director.

$596 million is being spent on the Ballarat Base Hospital redevelopment, with completion set for 2027.

Nicole Lancer says the project is also a unique one, with the majority of senior leaders on it being female.

“I think on a project level it’s very unique to see such a significant number of women in the senior leadership team roles, and of course it’s very encouraging,” she said.
