Australia’s soft-plastics recycling scheme has come to a halt with implications for a Ballarat manufacturer.
Instead of recycling the plastic, Melbourne based REDcycle has been stockpiling it due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’.

Replas, who are head quartered at Canadian, make products from the waste including bollards and street furniture.
The company says soft plastics cannot be left directly with them.

There’s no word yet on when the pause on recycling will resume.
