Construction is now complete on the Ballarat Base Hospital’s new power supply and support services building.
The six storey site will house a modern pharmacy, pathology services and an education and learning centre for both Grampians Health and the Deakin Rural Clinical School.
The building will also deliver the hospital’s power, heating and cooling.
Grampians Health staff are set to move into the new facility as soon as next month.
The redevelopment’s third and final stage is now underway, which includes work on a new multi-level hospital tower and main entrance, an upgraded emergency department and new rooftop helipad.
The $595 million hospital redevelopment is on track for completion by 2027.
