Ballarat Christmas appeal returns with greater need than ever

First conducted in 1980, the appeal for the first time this year will be under the stewardship of the Ballarat Foundation and supported by Radio Ballarat who operate 3BA and Power FM.

 

Station boss John Fitzgibbon says the communities support is vital.

 

“We are really begging the community who have supported our appeal over so many years to continue to support it, now that it is under the stewardship of the Ballarat Foundation,” Mr Fitzgibbon said.

 

This year more than $50,000 is hoped to be raised with the money supporting St Vincent De Paul, the Salvation Army, Uniting Ballarat and Anglicare Ballarat.
