The Department of Transport has revealed why the electronic billboard on the highway at Warrenheip is no longer displaying up to the minute travel times.
The signs are designed to keep drivers informed without the need to turn to their phone.
Michael Bailey from the Department says valuable copper wiring has been stolen from them and they’re now waiting to be fixed.

“We want people using signage, but people have decided they’d steal a copper wire which makes the signs not function and creates other issues for us,” he said.
“We will get them fixed as quickly as possible.”
