The owner of The Forge Pizzeria has urged the Ballarat community to support local hospitality operators in what he describes as very difficult times.
The Forge has been placed into Voluntary Administration but say they’ll continue to trade to ensure the future stability of the business.
Tim Matthews says most of what they owe is to the tax department.

“It is a tough time for hospitality.”
“We’d love to get everyone eating Forge pizzas, but really we’re just encouraging everyone to do what you can for the hospitality industry.”
“Hopefully we can trade out of this and keep all our staff employed,” Mr. Matthews said.
All three stores, Alfredton, Armstrong Street and Ballarat East will remain open at this stage.
