Three cycling Dad’s will ride 170 kilometres from Cranbourne to Ballarat whilst raising money for cancer research.

As part of the Ballarat Cycle Classic, Brent Bailey, Adam Wright and Nath Leworthy from the Casey BMX Club will ride from their home club to the Ballarat BMX Club’s race day event on February 10.

The inspiration behind the ride has come from family and friends who’ve battled the disease.

The Dad’s anticipate the ride will take 16 hours and will raise money for the cause along the way.

In a statement, Honorary Director for the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute, Professor George Kannourakis, said it’s very inspirational to have their support and they’re excited to see how the riders take on their challenge.

The Cycle Classic is in its 17th year and is aiming to raise $250,000 for the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute in 2024.
