Sturt Street of the 1920’s returns!

After much debate on social media this week, four palm trees have been planted in Central Ballarat.

The four meter tall Mexican Fan Palms are located on the corner of Albert and Sturt Street and Camp and Sturt Street.

Council says they are a throwback to Sturt Street of the 1920,s when many differing palm trees lined the famous boulevard.

The trees have been added as part of the shared-user path project.
