A warning has been issued by the weather bureau this afternoon for severe storms that could cause heavy rain leading to flash flooding.
It’s in place for parts of the central district which includes Ballarat as well as East Gippsland.

“Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours,” said a bureau spokesperson.
“Locations which may be affected include Melbourne, Cann River, Chandlers Creek and Combienbar.”
A possible shower is forecast for Ballarat tomorrow with mostly sunny conditions returning on Wednesday.
