A puppy has been seriously injured in an aggravated burglary near Ballarat.
Investigators were told offenders went to a home at Scotsburn around 3am this morning, stealing four dirt bikes worth $18,000 and a Labrador pup.

Police have confirmed the puppy was discovered some six hours later with serious injuries and the shocking incident is believed to be linked to another aggravated burglary on nearby Smithsons Road.
Police say an 82 year old woman has confronted the offenders who fled in a stolen Toyota Hilux.
