All levels of the new six-storey power supply and support services building at the Ballarat Base Hospital have now been constructed.
The new building will house a modern pharmacy, pathology services and an education and learning centre, along with the hospitals power, heating, cooling and backup power systems.
Work will now focus on the internal fit-out and the facade of the building, with construction set to be completed by the end of 2024.

Upon completion of the entire project in 2027, the hospital will have capacity to treat at least 18,000 more emergency patients, an extra 14,500 inpatients per year and 400 extra surgeries each year.
The project is worth $595 million.
