A Victoria Police chopper has helped bring down four alleged car thieves in Ballarat overnight.
The Air Wing was brought to Ballarat in response to a string of reports from Ballarat Police around erratic driving and stolen vehicles in recent days.
In a matter of two hours the operation managed to nab four alleged offenders in three separate incidents, recovering four stolen cars in the process.

All of the alleged offenders are men aged from their 20s to 50s, who are now assisting police.
Victoria Police has been contacted and will provide more details when they come to hand.
