Multiple people have been taken to hospital following a serious crash in Bunkers Hill this morning.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Finchs Road and Ballarat-Carngham Road at 6:12am this morning, following a two-vehicle collision.

Four people were transported by road to the Ballarat Base Hospital with various injuries, with a 60-year-old woman taken by air ambulance to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Ballarat-Carngham Road is currently closed in both directions near Finchs Road, and power outages are currently affecting over 2,000 people in nearby suburbs.

Police will be on the scene for most of the morning as they piece together the cause of the collision, with Powercor to begin powerline repairs once the police investigation finishes.

VicRoads urges people to avoid the area where possible and follow the direction of emergency services.
