The Liberal party have wasted no time and matched the state governments announcement yesterday of a $150 million upgrade of Ballarat’s Mars Stadium for the Commonwealth Games.
The investment will deliver 5000 new permanent seats as well as a new athletics track.

Wendouree candidate in the upcoming state election Samantha McIntosh says the right infrastructure needs to be in place.
“We need to have legacy projects and I believe that our support, our matching of the $150 million funding allows us to make sure we can put the right infrastructure in place to secure the future for the people of Ballarat,” she said.

There is no word yet on whether the coalition would match the $50 million promised by the ALP to make the central Ballarat train station access compliant.
