The Ballarat Rowing Regatta kicks off tomorrow at Lake Wendouree.
The 2 kilometre races will see almost 400 competitors from different clubs and schools battle it out in 69 events.
Rowers will be hoping for relatively flat conditions on the often-choppy lake with light winds forecast to become northwest to northeasterly at 15 to 25 km/h in the morning. A partly cloudy day with a top of 28C is tipped.
No other boating or water activities will be permitted on the Lake during the event, with an exclusion zone in place from 7am until 6pm tomorrow.
