As Ballarat locals woke to their lawns covered in frost and ice over their windshield, the city recorded its coldest morning for the year so far.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology’s local weather station, the city recorded a low of -3.9 degrees at 6:55am.
The previous record was set on the 19th of July at -3.1 degrees.

The city is in for a sunnier day tomorrow with a top of 12 degrees, before a high to very high chance of rain from Thursday through the weekend.
