Close to 25 people in Ballarat per day are still getting COVID

Despite a 12% drop in active COVID cases state-wide, Ballarat on average is still managing to record almost 25 new cases a day.

173 were reported in the last week.

By comparison Greater Geelong recorded 387 infections in the last seven days with 145 in Greater Bendigo.

148 people remain in hospital in Victoria with 7 in ICU, an average of 7 people a day currently die after contracting the virus.
