The Department of Treasury and Finance, which manages Ballarat’s GovHub building, says investigations are ongoing as to why parts of it have dangerously blown off in high winds.
Some locals have had their cars damaged as a result of the flying debris.

“Building contractors have been on site since 22nd November to undertake maintenance work following strong winds this week and further investigative work is continuing,” a spokesperson said.
The government has confirmed the affected area has been secured and the building will be shut for the rest of the week.
