Ballarat has shined in two notable categories at the 2022 Victorian Tourism Awards.
The Ballarat Heritage Festival, drawing on all things culturally historic about Ballarat, has been awarded Bronze in the Festivals and Events Category.
The festival returns in May 2023.
And Ballarat’s Julia Antonetti has been crowned the Young Achiever of the Year.

She’s been credited with strengthening the local tourism and hospitality industries as they recover from the COVID-19 pandemic through developing unique, front-line first initiatives.
A Project Officer at Ballarat Regional Tourism, Julia is described as an inspiration for local businesses.
Additionally, Kryal Castle was a finalist in the Tourist Attraction Category; Adventure Park Geelong took Gold in the category.
