There’s been another blow for parking in Ballarat’s CBD.
A car park underneath an electrical store in Field Street has been shut because of what the owner says is ‘extreme vandalism’.
In a statement, City of Ballarat’s Director of Growth & Development, Natalie Robertson, says the car park is owned and operated by the landlord of the property, with an agreement in place with council to provide all-day parking.

Council says it is shut due to security concerns and is working with the owner to re-open the car park.
