It’s official, the best beer in Australia is brewed right here in Ballarat.
Dollar Bill Brewing last night took out the Champion Australian Beer award at the Australian International Beer Awards in Melbourne.
The judges couldn’t resist Dollar Bill’s 2023 Candy Paint barrel aged sour ale, that beer also taking out the best fruit beer award.

In more good news for local brewers, Aunty Jacks took out the Best European Style Lager award for their Mair Street Marzen.
This year, the awards saw 75 judges from around Australia and abroad critique 2826 entries from over 400 exhibitors from 21 countries.
