An Alfredton man is in custody following a frightening Wendouree armed car-jacking in broad daylight.
It’s alleged the 37-year-old approached a car on Gillies Street around 1.40 Tuesday afternoon demanding the driver get out and smashing his window with the butt of a knife.
The man escaped through the passenger’s side with a cut to his hand, while the accused drove off in the victim’s Holden Commodore.
He and the victim’s car were found a short time later on Ballarat-Daylesford Road in Dean where the alleged offender was arrested.
