Advisor to goldfields world heritage bid remains confident

The chief advisor to the Victorian Goldfields world heritage bid says he’s confident the pitch will get up.

Earlier this week, Barry Gamble was in Ballarat to promote the bid, first proposed in 1986.

He says based on his experience; the bid stands an extremely good chance.

“There is a place on the world heritage list for this nomination [and] we’ve demonstrated that in our diligent work over the past years,” he said.

“This will get on the world heritage list. I am absolutely confident.”
