1920’s style roaring back to Ballarat street

Ballarat’s CBD is getting set for a blast from the past with four Mexican Fan Palms set to be planted.

Council says the 4 meter tall palms will be a throwback to 1920’s Sturt Street… and should be in the ground by the end of the week.

Holes for the trees have already been dug at the corner of Sturt and Camp Street and Sturt and Albert Street.Images: supplied – Ballarat City Council
