Ballarat’s Victoria Park events precinct is now ‘shovel ready’ according to council.
The dream has long been that infrastructure such as drainage, power and NBN is in place so event organisers can simply ‘plug and play’.
Alfredton Ward councillor Damon Saunders says that all permits have now been issued for the proposed work, now all they need is the funding.
“The City of Ballarat have obtained relevant permits for those works to go ahead there, including getting approval from the Department of Energy.”
“The project is now shovel ready and there’ll be a further application in 2025 in the coming months to the state government again for funding,” Cr Saunders said.
Last weekend Victoria Park hosted this Cyclo-Cross National Championships with the Australian Cross Country Championships at the same venue this weekend.
