The Ballarat Show returns to the Showgrounds from today for the first time since 2019.
And thanks to a government grant received by the Agricultural Society all kids 15 and under get in free.
Jackie Kalogerakis from the society says the show will go on despite the wet forecast.
“We all live in Ballarat, we all know what it’s like. So a lot of our stuff is indoors and undercover this year. We’re full steam ahead.”
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts a shower or two for Friday, with a 60% chance of rain and even the chance of a thunderstorm during the morning and afternoon.
Saturday also predicts a shower or two with the possibility of up to 3 mm of rain.
Sunday is a little riskier for show-goers, with up to 25 mm of rain expected in Ballarat.
