The City of Ballarat has confirmed that an interim fix for Selkirk Stadium’s leaky roof will be paid for by the builder.
The building has had water issues for some time; however, it came to a head over the Kings Birthday long weekend with heavy rain causing the move of a huge junior basketball tournament.
The council’s CEO, Evan King, says who will pay for the end fix is yet to be determined.

“We’ve had some really positive conversations with Nicholson Construction,” he said.
“They’ve been out on site; they’ve undertaken a number of inspections and they’re about to undertake a range of work to try and address as many of those leaking points as they can.”
