Ballarat’s Amy McDonald has been named in the AFLW All-Australian team.
The former Redan netballer and two-time Ballarat youth girls league Best and Fairest has been listed on the interchange in the final squad.
McDonald went on to play for the Greater Western Victoria Rebels after her time at Redan before breaking into Geelong’s VFL women’s side.
She made it into Geelong’s senior women’s side in the 2019 AFLW draft.
Two other Ballarat exports, Collingwood’s Lauren Butler and North Melbourne’s Jenna Bruton, had made the All-Australian squad list of 42 earlier this month but did not make the final team.
