Ballarat council is expecting this years Red Hot Summer Tour in Victoria Park to give the local economy a much needed shot in the arm.
Crowded House will headline the event on November 1st.
City of Ballarat Chief Executive Officer Evan King says they’re anticipating a huge crowd, many from out of town.

“The economic benefit of having ten to twelve thousand people in the city is huge, and more than 50% of attendees come from outside of Ballarat.”
“Bringing people into Ballarat and spending money is very important for our economy,” Mr. King said.
Tickets for the concert, which also features The Church, Mark Seymour and Vika & Linda, went on sale this week.
