New data has revealed crime continues to rise in Ballarat.
The figures from the Crime Statistics Agency have found to the year ending March 2025, crime in Ballarat has risen 9.2 per cent on the previous year.
Over the period, the majority of alleged incidents were committed by men and those aged between 18 to 24 and over the age of 45.

Despite recording a drop, theft from motor vehicles remains the most common offence in the city, followed by a family violence order breach and other forms of theft.
Ballarat Central, Wendouree and Sebastopol were named the worst suburbs for crime in the city.
