Ballarat City Councilors are hours away from voting on Daniel Moloney’s replacement as the city’s Mayor.
The vote will be held at a special meeting tonight.
Cr. Moloney has held the position for two years after being unanimously chosen by his fellow councilors for a second term late last year.

He has previously mentioned he had no intention of running for a third term.
Cr. Amy Johnson, who’s also held the position of Deputy Mayor for two years, says she will be running for a third term as Deputy, but would not be putting her hand up for the top job.
