Despite police being aware of Ballarat’s newest hoon hot-spot, at least one witness says the behaviour is continuing to get worse.
Mitchell Park resident Robyn, says the hoons can gather as many as four or five times a week on the new roads behind the Ballarat airport.
After a recent car rollover she fears someone will eventually get hurt.
“I got up during the night and I drove past and couldn’t believe they’d blocked the road in Sunraysia Drive.”
“I called police to notify them, but they don’t turn up, the other night a car had tipped over doing burnouts,” Robyn said.
It’s understood council street sweepers are often on-site cleaning-up the shredded tyres and other mess the hoons leave behind.
