Basketball great hits out over Selkirk Stadium’s leaky roof

Ballarat basketball great Ray Borner has hit out at the inability of those involved to fix Selkirk Stadium’s leaky roof.

A recent downpour caused disruption to the junior basketball championships, with the Miners forced to relocate back to the Minerdome for the remainder of the season.

Ray says having the stadium unused is mad and a solution needs to be found straight away.

“If they’re not going to fix it, what are they going to do?” he said.

“[Are] they going to leave a $20 million facility sitting there empty? Don’t be silly.”
