Ballarat’s COVID cases have jumped by more than 20% in the last week.
262 new cases were reported in the city in the 7 day period as the new variants start to take hold.

By comparison Ballarat fared well against Greater Bendigo with 448 new infections and Greater Geelong with 788.
Statewide cases were up 63% to 16,636 in the week, with hospitalisations up almost 19% at 274.
