A recent police search of a Little Bridge Street convenience store has allegedly found thousands of dollars’ worth of illicit cigarettes.
An Operation Praesidium unit has recently begun an investigation into the sale and supply of illicit cigarettes and vapes in the Ballarat area.
Police allegedly seized around 1300 packets of illicit cigarettes from the store, with an approximate street value of $24,000, along with 2.5 kilograms of loose tobacco.
A 59-year-old Alfredton woman was interviewed in relation to a number of offences and was released pending summons.
Further investigations in relation to the business owner are continuing.
