Ballarat dentist costs above both state and national average

New data from Cleanbill has revealed the cost of seeing the dentist locally is both above the state and national average.

The National Dental Listings Report is the first comprehensive survey of dental clinic billing and availability around the country.

Findings collected from 29 dental clinics in the Ballarat electorate found the average cost of a standard check-up and clean to be $236.70.

The state’s average cost sits at $228.34, whilst the national average is only slightly more expensive at $229.44.

The average cost of a new patient’s visit to a Ballarat dentist was $330.31, compared to the national average of $297.15.
