It appears confused motorists in Ballarat’s CBD might have to wait months for an outdated road sign to be fixed.
The sign at the bottom end of Sturt Street doesn’t take into account that one lane now runs through the Bridge Mall after it was reopened to traffic in March following a $23m redevelopment.
Natalie Robertson, Director Development & Growth at the City of Ballarat says once a contractor is appointed, they expect the removal to proceed over the coming months.
They’ve also noted the confusion that the advance warning sign is causing.
“Another half-done job, drivers beware,” said former councillor Vicki Coltman taking to social media.
