The Pyrenees Shire Council has totalled its rising flood damage bill against State Government assistance.
While the Shire has welcomed the half a million dollars for its hardest hit areas, including Lexton, Beaufort and Avoca, early estimates have the damage bill at $15 million.

With at least 30 properties, public spaces and major events already impacted council says the total devastation is still not yet realised.
Meantime, the City of Ballarat says its crews have so far responded to more than 200 reports of damage caused by last week’s downpour with the customer service team taking around 500 calls.

Seven roads remain closed as crews work to conduct repairs as quickly as possible (see map & list of closed roads below).
Cr Belinda Coates today confirming with Radio Ballarat that the damage bill at this stage is still unknown.
