The baker behind Ballarat’s best pie says despite making about 5400 of them, she never got tired of the process.
Erika Brown’s Raspberry Goldfields Cookie Pie swept all comers in this year’s Ballarat’s Best Pie Competition and became a social media sensation.
Erika, of Mrs. Browne Bakes, says keeping up the supply of ingredients was the biggest challenge.
“I love baking, so I really didn’t get sick of it.”
“It was just more like trying to make sure I have enough ingredients, that was the really stressful bit,” Erika said.
Now that the competition is over the pies will be available on Friday’s only from Ballarat cafe Naomi & I. Good luck getting one!
