If your Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 has been feeling a little dusty lately, it is time to clear some space on the SD card. The latest Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase just wrapped up, and it was massive! In fact it should shut a few of negative comments up around “there aren’t enough games on the device”.

From Bethesda’s sprawling RPGs to Capcom’s latest survival horror, the lineup both full of nostalgia and next-gen ambition. Here is everything you need to know about the games heading to your palms.

Perhaps the most shocking (and welcome) news was the heavy involvement of Bethesda Game Studios. We are finally getting Indiana Jones and the Great Circle on 12 May. Set between the first and third films, you will be swinging that iconic whip through 1937 environments with visuals that really push the new hardware. Having played this all the way through on Xbox, I’m still excited to do it all again on a handheld.

If you prefer the post-apocalypse to archaeology, Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition drops on 24 February. It is the full experience, including six add-ons and a massive 150 pieces of Creation Club content.

But the real “shut up and take my money” moment? The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered. The newly rebuilt 2006 classic where even the sweet rolls look better now. It is slated for a 2026 release and it makes total sense, this still felt like an old game on Xbox, but on a handheld device like the switch it may feel more at home.

Horror, Hacking, and High-Speed Action

Capcom is clearly not playing around. Resident Evil Requiem arrives on 27 February, featuring a dual narrative with Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft. The ability to switch between first and third-person views on the fly is a game-changer for the series.

We also caught a glimpse of PRAGMATA, a sci-fi adventure where you play as a spacefarer and an android. The mechanic of Diana hacking enemy armour so Hugh can land the finishing blow looks incredibly satisfying. It’s out on the 24th of April. Was anyone else getting “Dead Space” and “Bioshock” vibes?

The Exclusives and Surprises

The Nintendo Switch 2 is getting some serious exclusive love:

  • Orbitals: A retro anime-inspired co-op puzzle platformer. Think gorgeous aesthetics and high-stakes teamwork.
  • TOKYO SCRAMBLE: Launching 11 February, this survival-puzzle game pits you against “Zino”—creatures that look suspiciously like dinosaurs, deep beneath Tokyo. (This is straight to my watchlist)
  • Hollow Knight – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition: In a brilliant move, this launches today. If you already own it on the original Switch, there is a free upgrade pack to boost your resolution and frame rate.

Square Enix is bringing the heat with FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH on 3 June. Seeing Cloud and the gang explore the world outside Midgar on a Nintendo handheld is a milestone many of us have waited years for. It they keep re-releasing this game, I’ll keep buying it.

For the sports fans, eFootball Kick-Off! and PGA TOUR 2K25 (launching today!) ensure the library stays diverse. Even the “Greatest of All Time” is joining the party, with Goat Simulator 3 headbutting its way onto the console on April Fool’s Day, fitting, really.

Whether you are looking for the haunting mysteries of PARANORMASIGHT: The Mermaid’s Curse or the explosive chaos of the SUPER BOMBERMAN COLLECTION, the message from this Showcase is clear: Nintendo is making sure the Switch 2 has the third-party support it deserves and the devs are loving it!
