Federation University Australia in association with the Albert Coates Memorial Trust is pleased to welcome Associate Professor Misty Jenkins AO as Guest Orator for the Sir Albert Coates Oration that takes place on Thursday 9 November 2023 from 6:00pm at the Geoffrey Blainey Auditorium on our Mt Helen Campus.

Associate Professor Jenkins is the Head of the Brain Cancer Immunotherapy Laboratory at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and is leading research studies on a new form of immune-targeted therapy that trains T Cells to fight and protect against certain types of brain cancer.

The subject of her oration will be “The power of the immune system: From humble beginnings to personalized approaches to treating cancer.”

The event will be followed by an optional Oration Dinner.
