Throughout his career, Simic has performed sold-out shows at music venues, theatres and festivals across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Europe, Canada, and the US. From Canberra house parties to the Sydney Opera House to London’s West End, he has packed houses and garnered accolades.

The songs of Mikelangelo are rich with vivid imagery, personal mythology, stirring rhythms and soaring melodies. His sonic palette draws on transgressive folk music, outlaw country, 50s blues and doowop, spaghetti western soundtracks and instrumental surf music, baroque pop, and the darker side of rock’n’roll.

His live performances range from the intimate to the epic.

They are infused with wild energy, emotion and humour, and Mikelangelo is well known for his unmistakable baritone voice and his charm and dynamism on stage.

With a swag brimming with the first Mikelangelo solo album – Lost Recordings, Mikelangelo rides into Creswick, Ballarat to play the Odessa on Sunday 16th March 2pm – 5pm.

Simic has pressed a limited run of the first Mikelangelo solo album – Lost Recordings – recorded in 1999 by Matt Hills at Happy Valley studios, which was then located in Melbourne.

The album has been unavailable for some years, and this collector’s edition will be hand numbered, with each cover featuring hand inked original artwork by Simic.

He will perform songs from Lost Recordings at Odessa@Leavers alongside cherished Mikelangelo tunes and new material.
