Ballarat tennis star Zoe Hives has kicked off her quest for an Australian Open berth with a huge win.
The 26-year-old defeating the number 142 in the world, French woman Harmony Tan two sets to one, speeding through the final set six games to one in just 38 minutes.
Zoe now only needs two more wins to qualify for the Grand Slam.

She’s looking to appear in singles at the tournament for the second time after reaching round two in 2019.
