A sporting coup for Ballarat has been revealed today.
The city has been chosen ahead of Melbourne clubs to host next year’s weeklong National Lacrosse Championships.
The event, in October at Morshead Park, is expected to bring 3000 to 4000 people to town including two teams from New Zealand.

Former national player and Ballarat local Tasi Stanboult has been working hard behind the scenes with the governing body and City of Ballarat to secure the event.
