We got a call from a man concerned about his 82-year-old mother-in-law, who had gone without a reliable landline phone for three months, after the NBN was rolled out in Delacombe.
The woman was frail, had a serious illness and as soon as her landline appeared to be ok, it stopped working again.
She could not afford a mobile phone.
After countless calls to call-centres, the man rang Nigel Parker of Nitek who physically inspected the phone socket this week and immediately picked up the problem.
We caught up with Nigel, who is offering some advice to locals negotiating the NBN - and is picking up a lot of work from people with similar problems -
