George R. R Martin may finally finish the 6th Book!
With increasing closures and quarantines all over the world, it looks like this could be just the trigger to finally get our 6th Game of Thrones book – The Winds of Winter. 71-year-old George R.R. Martin has addressed fans in his blog titled Not a Blog, and revealed that isolation has allowed him to finally get some serious writing done.
He wrote “I am off by myself in a remote isolated location, attended by one of my staff, and I’m not going in to town or seeing anyone. Truth be told, I am spending more time in Westeros than in the real world, writing every day.
Things are pretty grim in the Seven Kingdoms … but maybe not as grim as they may become here.” Martin also spoke of his current welfare: “For those of you who may be concerned for me personally … yes, I am aware that I am very much in the most vulnerable population, given my age and physical condition. But I feel fine at the moment and we are taking all sensible precautions.”
Fingers crossed that 2020 is the year we get The Winds of Winter, 9 years after the 5th book.
