… without it sticking to the pot!
Cooking rice may not seem like the most difficult task but lots of us have trouble under or overcooking it, and it sticking to the pot!
But here is a simple method for making sure all the rice from your pot goes into your tummy, and none with the pot into the dishwasher.
You’ll need: a saucepan with a lid, measuring cup, salt, wooden spoon and a fork.
Method: Pour the water into a saucepan (Two cups of water for every cup of rice). Bring water to the boil. Mix in one teaspoon of salt. Pour in the rice and stir once to stop it sticking. Pop the lid on, reduce the heat and simmer for 18 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the heat and larvae the rice in the saucepan for another five minutes. Separate the grains gently with a fork..
(Handy hint: Wash the rice before cooking it to remove the excess starch.
Next step: Enjoy!
