The Ballarat printing press that produces The Courier six days a week could be shut under a proposal by media company ACM.
Staff were briefed yesterday on the plan that would see sites also shut in Wodonga, Murray Bridge and Canberra.
The Courier says its print edition will continue to be available.
ACM, which owns The Courier, says economic challenges brought on by the pandemic had affected it and many other publishers around the country.
The date of the proposed closure and number of jobs impacted at the Ballarat site in Wendouree is unclear.
