Ballarat's adopted A league team Western United has signed another player.

Midfielder Steven Lustica has inked a one year contract extension, as has goal keeper Ryan Scott.

Lustica joined United in February from Uzbekistan Super League club FC Qizilqum Zarafshon.

The midfielder made three starts in green and black, cementing himself in the central midfield before the season was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’m very excited to have extended my stay at Western United. The club has already built a great culture here and I’m happy to be part of it. With the players and coaching staff led by Head Coach Mark Rudan that we have hopefully we can achieve a lot of success,” Lustica said.

There's no word as yet on whether Ballarat's Mars Stadium will feature when the A-league recommences for United when they take on Melbourne Victory on July 16.
