Three people wanted on outstanding warrants have been picked up in Ballan and Creswick, as part of an intensive police operation.
The trio were wanted on property and traffic offences.
Moorabool Police also carried out roadblocks, breath tests and active patrols during yesterday’s blitz.
The operation saw a visible police presence across Ballan and Creswick – and also saw five arrest warrants issued, 160 vehicles checked, 134 preliminary breath tests performed and seven infringement notices issued. One vehicle was impounded.
Acting Senior Sergeant Daniel York said Ballan and Creswick uniform police officers, Ballarat’s Divisional Response Unit, the Moorabool Crime Investigation Unit and local Highway Patrol were all involved in the operation.
“This operation was conducted to increase police visibility across the Moorabool area and reassure the community that we are working hard to keep them safe,” he said.
Victoria Police will conduct further operations throughout the year across the Moorabool area.
